With the debut of www.okchistory.com in July 2007, we introduce features that will be updated week to week, including "OKC History's Attic," photos and stories you won't find elsewhere; OKC Then and Now, comparison photos of the city over decades; "News," with links to stories in publications about important historic city sites and events; a list of OKC history books; and links to other sites relating to Oklahoma City history.

OKC History was founded by Steve Lackmeyer and Jack Money, who also provide its content, and the web page design is by Martin Milner.

Sirs,
In the early 50's there was a Hamms bar b'q on NE 23 street. I vaguely remember an old green perhaps white building. I was only 4 at the time. The cafe later moved to NW 23. I can find no reference to its existence anymore. Web searches are not working either. Do you know what happened to the establishment? They had some of best bbq sauce. Any chance the recipe for their bbq sauce is around?
I remember eating at Classens. Again I was very young. How about Beverly's Chick'n in the Rough? Are they still around? No utensils, just a cloth napkin and a finger bowl.
Thanks
