At www.okchistory.com we are pleased to introduce this rarely seen film featuring the late Bricktown developer Neal Horton, who was the first inductee to the Bricktown Walk of Fame on July 2, 2009.

In 1983, Bricktown developer Neal Horton was in a bind; after investing his fortune buying and renovating old brick warehouses east of the central business district, the Oklahoma economy spiraled into a deep depression due to the collapse of oil and gas prices. Faced with high interest rates and plumeting demand for office and retail space downtown, Horton put his best face on in this March, 1983 tour with then Mayor Andy Coats. (thanks to the guys at www.abandonedok.com for cleaning up the audio and video on this!)
