Yet another "then and now" from Dennis Church. This building is now part of the ongoing MidTown Renaissance project started by Greg Banta and being continued by Bob Howard and Mickey Clagg. The building is set to restored as housing and is dubbed "Hadden Hall." To see 215 NW 10 as it appeared decades ago, read the entire post.

 

Yes, the name of this building really was Hadden Hall to begin with even though in later years it was known as the Travelers Aid building. The Oklahoma County Assessor's online records (not always reliable) indicate the building was built in 1901. News archives indicate that at one point it was operated as a hotel with rooms being rented in 1911. A 1963 classified ad promised the building was under new management and that redecorated rooms with free parking could be rented for $10 a week. The building was vacant throughout much of the 1990s.
